I had endometriosis for over 20 years which I finally overcame, too only be thrown into menopause when the pandemic hit. Having to close down my private practice and stop seeing clients. The stress created chaos with my hormones and I stopped menstruating. 

I was already heading well into perimenopause (the hormonal transition that starts for women at age 40 into menopause). But the stress of having to close my practice overnight speed the process up significantly. 

Waking up during the night soaked in sweat, with sweat dripping down my face. Multiple times a night. Debilitating migraines every 2 weeks that lasted 2 to 4 days. Crying like a crazy person in the middle of a conversation. 
I lost all desire to exercise which was very unusual for me as I had been very active my entire life. Craving and eating sugar like cookies and chocolate. Again, so not my normal diet. 

And then there was the brain fog and memory. Literally stopping halfway through a sentence because I couldn’t think of the word I wanted to say. Walking into rooms and standing at the doorway wracking my brain trying to remember why I had walked in there. 

I woke up one morning and could barely walk. Literally overnight I was crippled with what would normally be diagnosed as plantar fasciitis. And most likely prescribed expensive orthotics for my shoes which wouldn’t have helped. Hint, if you are experiencing this, it’s your hormones. And once you fix this the pain goes away. Along with all the other achy joints
